Worship Overview

Worship is the heartbeat of Beaches Presbyterian Church. In Word and Sacrament we discover who we are and who God is calling us to be. In Word and Sacrament we are challenged and nourished that we might share in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. From Word and Sacrament; from prayer, and music, all our ministries flow out to the world God loves. In the service of Word and Sacrament we encounter the risen Christ.

Beaches has a long established and cherished tradition of excellent worship that involves nourishing and challenging preaching, deep sacramentality, music of the highest quality and diversity, special intergenerational events, and the fine arts. At Beaches, we celebrate the Eucharist/Holy Communion/Lord’s Supper on the second Sunday of every month and on many other important festival days.

Beaches also has a long established and cherished tradition openness and innovation.

Each Sunday, we are reminded by the duty Elder that, "Our presence here has made a difference." We welcome you and your whole family to worship with us. People of all ages; adults and children, all have a place here in the sacred space God provides. Your presence makes a difference.

Indeed, that is what the word "liturgy" means. This Greek word is made of two other Greek words meaning, "the work of the people." Liturgy is the offering we make together to God in Christ, by the power of the Spirit. The audience of our worship is always God.

At Beaches, you are welcome. Come, join the celebration and bring your gifts. Your presence here makes all the difference in the world.
