Overview

At Beaches, we are working to keep our church community as connected and supported as we can during this time of heightened anxiety and insecurity. We are grateful as we uphold each other in prayer even when we can’t meet in person. Our conference call service on March 29, 2020, helped the congregation feel in community even though we weren’t together in person.

Our Stewardship and Finance team is closely monitoring our financial situation and we want to provide you with its current projections. Because we are not holding Sunday services in person at Beaches, we are not passing the offering plates and are therefore not receiving that income. As a result, we are projecting a shortfall of almost $3,000 per month from the loss of Sunday plate offerings. We have decided to postpone certain expenses where possible and practical. However, we cannot avoid paying the bulk of our anticipated expenses.

Some members of the congregation have asked how they can help by donating to Beaches during this unprecedented time. If you are not currently using PAR, we are asking you to submit your offerings (as your situation allows) through one of the following alternative ways while the offering plate is unavailable. We strongly urge the use of electronic means to avoid a journey. As well, if you are able, and already on PAR please consider increasing your offerings either via PAR or a one-time donation.
