THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2020 - My entire adult life I have been waiting for permission to sit around and do nothing …. and here we are!

MISSION CAPSULE: We end the past year in gratitude to God for the moments and the milestones in which we experienced God’s presence. We begin the new year in prayer for a more just and loving world where we depend on the abundance of God’s grace, the generosity of God’s mercy and the unwavering promise of God’s compassion.

MONDAY, JANUARY 4th, 2021 - Theology on Tap will reconvene at 7:00 and will finish Religion and the Rise of Capitalism. Next Monday, January 11th, we will begin our next book by Dorothee Solle, Theology for Skeptics.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6th, 2021 - Beaches Prayer Group will gather at 9:30.

Heaven is around and within me, I sense it, as the blind sense shape with their fingers, let me pause and sense the eternity in me.

Over the past year, most of my “moments of grace” have been interactions with other people, I look forward to more of them.

And now this … Children were asked questions about the old and new testaments. The following statements about the Bible were written by said children. They have not been retouched or corrected. Incorrect spelling has been left in.

1. In the first book of the Bible, Guinness. God got tired of creating the world so he took the Sabbath off.

2. Adam and eve were created from an apple tree. Noah’s wife was Joan of ark. Noah built and ark and the animals came on in pears.

3. Lots wife was a pillar of salt during the day, but a ball of fire during the night.

4. Samson slayed the philistines with the axe of the apostles.

5. Moses led the jews to the red sea where they made unleavened bread, which is bread without any ingredients.

6. The egyptians were all drowned in the dessert. Afterwards, Moses went up to mount cyanide to get the ten commandments.

7. The first commandment was when Eve told Adam to eat the apple.

8. Moses died before he ever reached canada then Joshua led the Hebrews in the battle of geritol.
