THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2020 - What’s needed are eyes that focus with the soul. What’s needed are spirits open to everything. What’s needed are the belief that wonder is the glue of the universe and the desire to seek more of it. Be filled with wonder.

MISSION CAPSULE: Today, there are millions of people around the world living in conflict-affected countries. Many have been displaced from their homes and have limited access to basic needs. Children are unable to go to school. Families do not have enough food to eat. There is no telling when home might be safe again. PWS&D continuously provides emergency relief in conflict-affected areas. By reaching out to the most vulnerable to address immediate needs such as food, shelter, water and sanitation, as well as longterm needs, such as livelihood recovery, education and psychosocial support, we help to restore strength and hope for the future for the world’s most vulnerable.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st, 2020 - Theology on Tap will gather at 7:00 via Zoom. To receive contact information call Erin or M.J.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd, 2020 - Beaches Prayer Group meet via conference call at 9:30. We pray for our church family, friends, family members etc. Everything we discuss is kept in strictest confidence. If you need prayer contact any one of us. Elisabeth Grant; Sheila MacDonald; Susan Kopulos; Doug Duke; Katherine McCloskey or me.

NOTE: Session has been in regular discussion about the reopening of Beaches for Worship. We will have to abide by the strict Public Health rules for gatherings. So far, many of you have said you will continue to participate via Zoom while others have said they wish to return to the sanctuary. It will be quite different, as you all know, as we cannot sing and we must sit apart. More later …..

Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

Two hats were hanging on a hat rack in the hallway. One hat said to the other: “You stay here, I’ll go on a head.”

A sign on the lawn at a drug rehab centre said, “Keep off the Grass”

The midget fortune-teller who escaped from prison was a small medium at large.

The soldier who survived mustard gas and pepper spray is now a seasoned veteran.
