August 13, 2020

SUNDAY, AUGUST 16th, 2020 - Join us for morning worship at 10:00 – Rev. Katherine McCloskey leading.

MISSION CAPSULE: In September 2019, the Presbyterian Church of Mauritius (PCM) celebrated a milestone: the 40th anniversary of their autonomy from the Church of Scotland. The Presbyterian Church in Canada’s partnership with PCM began in 1981 with the appointment of the Rev. Brian Crosby and continued through the years with 11 Canadian Presbyterians serving as ministers and music consultants. Today, our partnership continues through annual grants sent to Formations Biblique et Theologique a Maurice (FBTM), a theological training program for over 1700 Christians. FBTM’s director, the Rev. Maurice Davantin, gratefully acknowledges that, “Due to the generosity of the PCC, FBTM has been able to continue its ministry in spreading the study of God’s Words among Christians in Mauritius.”

NOTE: Please consider and pray about how you will personally respond to the reopening of Beaches for Worship. The session needs to know how you feel and what your plans are. Do contact your elder and/or the church office.

MONDAY, AUGUST 17th, 2020 - Theology on Tap continues to gather. 7:00 by Zoom – for information contact M.J. or Erin.

NOTE: As you might have heard by now, the Federal Government has given approval for sponsored refugees to travel to Canada. After we have proven sponsorship Hasan and his family will be free to come. It could be six days, six weeks or six months, but it’s happening.
