MISSION CAPSULES: Have you ever found yourself stuck and in need of good advice? Thanks to Presbyterians Sharing … ministers and ministries across Canada are receiving the encouragement and guidance they need to thrive through a variety of coaching networks. Programs such as the New Church Development Coaches and the Social Mentor Network bring direct support to ministries by matching them with trained coaches who provide guidance and support. Whether getting a new church staff off the ground or navigating the challenges of managing a church-based outreach mission, coaches help leadership teams hear where God is calling them and equip them with the tools needed to follow God’s call. In 2018 Canadian Ministries will pilot two new coaching programs in the area of evangelism and congregational renewal!

MONDAY, OCTOBER 30th, 2017 - Theology on Tap at the Beacher Café - 7:00 – join us for a good discussion on the book Sea Sick by Alanna Mitchell.

FYI - Our weekly offerings to date, are down from the same period last year, so the members of your Stewardship & Finance Committee would ask that you prayerfully consider: 1) Whether your situation will allow you to give through PAR in a regular monthly way, and 2) Whether a review of your level of giving is warranted. You can make giving to Beaches easy and simple while, at the same time, providing the church with a stable, predictable source of revenue each month. HOW?.....by joining the Pre-Authorized Remittance plan (PAR).

Your offering would be drawn monthly directly from your account; no need to remember to write a cheque nor to have cash available nor consider what to do should you be absent on a Sunday. It is a safe and secure process. For more information about PAR, see Sheila MacDonald or go to www.presbyterian.ca/stewardship/par On behalf of your Stewardship Committee, thank you for your strong, on-going support.
