MISSION CAPSULES - Danielle was 25 when she relocated to Kenora - alone, pregnant, homeless and hopless. She shares, "One day I woke up and realized that I could not lead a life of drugs and stealing to support myself. I came to the Kenora Fellowship Centre seeking help to point me in the right direction. The more I got to know the staff, the more comfortable I felt telling them about my situation. They were supportive and encouraging, and helped me get back on my feet. When I felt like giving up, they gave me hope and showed me that there is more to life. Today I am a mentor in the youth mentorship program, volunteering my time at the Centre by helping the staff and patrons with their needs. I first came to the Centre seeking help and support, and now I am dedicating myself to showing others that change can happen, as it did for me!" Presbyterians Sharing ... provides hope to people in need.

WHAT IS A LEXOPHILE - A Lexophile is a word used to describe those that have a love for words, such as "you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish". A competition to see who can come up with the best lexophiles is held every year in an undisclosed location. These are some of the entries.
