MISSION CAPSULES: The village of Sanogoan was one of the many villages devastated by the earthquake that struck Nepal last April. After so many houses were flattened by the quake, the town turned into a tented camp. With support from PWS&D and the ACT Alliance, 90 families from Sanogoan are receiving funds to rebuild their homes. The tight-knit community has also been working together to make bricks. Kabita Shrestha is one of the brickmakers. She lost everything when her home collapsed, but now feels some relief. Her family has received support to rebuild their home and it has taken an enormous weight off her shoulders. Empowered by the spirit and strength of her community, Kabita feels hope for the future.
