MISSION CAPSULES: Flooding in Malawi earlier this year destroyed homes and left many in need of shelter, food and other sanitation supplies - including toilets. The loss of latrines in a flood zone is a serious problem. When the proper sanitation is no longer possible, the risk of contracting waterborne diseases such as diarhea, malaria and even cholera increases. PWS&D in collaboration with local partners and health workers in Malawi, is helping rebuild 1,000 latrines. PWS&D will continue to work to reduce the risk of disease, improve sanitation and ensure that families affected by the flooding are able to continue to rebuild their lives.

COMING UP: Beaches Annual Jazz Festival.

MORE ADULT TRUTHS:

I am always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

Have a good week - MB
