SATURDAY, JUNE 14th, 2014 - 10:00 - 12:00 - Second in the series of Congregational Support Events. Join us for this week's workshop entitled "If you don't know where you're going any road will get you there"! This workshop will continue the conversation of viability and future possibilities for our congregations. The workshop will be led by Synod Consultant - the Rev. John Peter Smit at Leaside Presbyterian Church, 670 Eglinton Avenue, East. Everyone is welcome - refreshments will be available and there is no cost for this event.

LOST PILGRIMS CONCERT - reception at 6:30 Concert at 7:30. Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church - tickets $15:00 or $30.00 family. This is a fund raiser for At Risk Youth.

BEACHES ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW at Kew Gardens - Saturday & Sunday -10:00 am - 6:00 pm rain or shine. Over 150 artisans - admission free.

SUNDAY, JUNE 15th, 2014 - Join us for morning worship at 10:30 - Rev. Joon Ki Kim leading. Following worship there is a congregational meeting concerning our current financial situation. Things are stabilizing but there are extra expenses which still need to be met. Please plan to attend so we can all get an understanding of where we go from here.

MISSION CAPSULES: Denise van Wissen's work as a nutritionist serving with SOYNICA in Nicaragua includes creating resource materials, advising mothers on nutrition, writing project proposals and helping to lead study tours. She recently completed a new resource on nutrition and healthy eating. It builds on an agricultural manual which has become an industry standard used by organizations across Central America to teach small-scale farming families about soil conservation, vegetable gardens, pest management and marketing of produce. The nutritional manual provides a down-to-earth source of practical information, teaching farmers how to transform what they are growing into healthy nutrition for their families. We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colous, but they all have to live in the same box!
