WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16th, 2013 - "I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I just can't put it down!"

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19th, 2013 - Kingston Road Village FallFest - Kingston Road from Hannaford to Victoria Park. Activities for the whole family.

AND - The Great Pumpkin Giveaway - Kew Beach Public School 1:00 - 4:00 - free pumpkins to first 250 people, bouncy castle, face painting, free balloons, hot chocolate and more.

AND - Fall Fair at Balmy Beach Public School - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm - fun for the whole family.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20th, 2013 - Join us for morning worship at 10:30 - Rev. Matt McKay leading. We will celebrate the baptism of Callum and Logan Little. Kilts will be the attire for the day, if you have one feel free to join in.

The Annual Toronto Marathon will be running that day so Queen Street will be closed from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please try to find your way past or through the runners for this special service.

The Beaches Refugee Group will not meet this Sunday as planned but will meet Sunday, October 27th instead. We need everyone and there is always room for more. Some things we need: Financial supervisor; help with finding a suitable apartment; short-term accomodation upon arrival; grocery shoppers and many other things.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26th, 2013 - Beach United Church is holding an Open House to show the community how they have renovated Kew Beach United - 1:00 - 4:00

MISSION CAPSULES: This Sunday , October 20th, Presbyterians are running in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon to raise support for men, women and children in some of the poorest areas of the world. Runners will be joined by the project co-ordinator for Presbyterian World Service and Development's HIV and AIDS program in Malawi. Team PWS&D need your support to reach their goal of $10,000. When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to your youth - think about Algebra!

You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks!

One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is a nice change from being young. Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable!
