SUNDAY, AUGUST 25th, 2013 - Join us for morning worship at 10:00 am (summer hours) Rev. Matthew Mckay leading.

Beaches Prayer Group meets every Wednesday morning at 9:30ish and while we are very casual, we take our responsibilities very seriously. We pray for our congregation and for family members, friends of, etc. We continue to pray for people until we hear that we could stop. Over the last several months we have been praying for a young man in another country with an inoperable brain tumour. His is 19. He has had chemo treatments and some radiation and the latest report is that his tumour is gone!! That is reason to celebrate.

NOTE: After all the flooding we have endured this year, the problem has been addressed and repaired and the last dreadful rainfall we had, we stayed very dry. This little blip cost us $5000.00 and was not in our budget for 2013.

On another note: A big thank you to Jay Stryker, John Struthers and Henriette deKloet who stayed last Sunday and began the huge job of weeding the garden on Avion. It looks so much better.

In filling out an application, where it says, 'In case of emergency, notify:' I put DOCTOR!!

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

A clear conscience is the sign of a fuzzy memory!

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice!

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure!

Have a good week - MB
