Soynica promotes the right to food security and helps families break the cycle of poverty. Denise works in Managua with another nutritionist on the nutritional aspects of various projects. Among many other things, Denise updates the content of educational workshops, keeps staff up to date on current nutrition topics and reviews periodic reports.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Beaches Session have voted to hold an elder election during Advent. If you are not yet a member, you might consider this as only members are allowed to vote. Talk to your elder or to Matt McKay.

NOTE: On the first Sunday of Advent, there will be a congregational meeting following worship, to discuss our Sanctuary windows. While you are in the Sanctuary this weekend, have a good look at them - they are coming apart. We have to deal with this. So, please plan to be there for this important discussion.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8th, 2012 - Our Annual reading of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol - watch for more information to come.

AND FROM THE CHILDREN:

Dear God: Please put another holiday between Christmas and Easter. There is nothing good in there now. Ginny

Dear God: Maybe Cain and Abel would not kill each so much if they had their own rooms. It works with my brother. Larry

Dear God: If we come back as something, please don't let me be Jennifer Horton because I hate her. Denise.

Dear God: If you watch in church on Sunday I will show you my new shoes. Mickey

Dear God: We read Thomas Edison made light, but in Sunday School they said you did it. So, I bet he stoled your idea. Donna

Have a good week - MB
