MISSION CAPSULES: Our gifts to Presbyterians Sharing ... help connect people in Canada with long term mission partners. In November 2011, 11 people from across Canada travelled to see first hand the mission work of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. Journeying through Taiwan from north to south, the group visited theological colleges, hospitals, schools and churches of the PCT. Everywhere they went they heard stories of deep faith and experienced incredible hospitality and generosity. PCC leader Heather Chappell says, "It is good to find a place to call home on the other side of the world. Thanks be to God for this amazing and humbling experience." Let us pray for our partner church in Taiwan as it is a living example of God's grace.

FYI - As summer weekends are so busy for most of us, it has been decided to try Wednesday evening worship again this summer. We will hold our final Sunday morning service on June 24th and begin our summer schedule on June 27th. Worship will be at 6:30 with lots of things for the children.

SUMMER TIP: When you buy fruit - berries - this summer, wash them in a mixture of one part vinegar to ten parts water...this will prevent them from going moldy. The vinegar kills the mold spores and other bacteria that might be on the surface of the fruit - thus, the fruit will last longer.

MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BUT PROBABLY DON'T.

- Kellogg's "Froot Loops" was originally spelled "Fruit Loops" but had to change due to a lawsuit claiming the cereal contained no real fruit.

- Celery has negative calories: It takes more calories to eat a piece of celery than the celery has in it to begin with! It's the same with apples!

- Chewing gum while peeling onions will keep you from crying!

- the glue on Israeli postage stamps is certified Kosher.

- Guinness Book of Records holds the record for being the book most often stolen from Public Libraries.

Have a good week -- MB
