MISSION CAPSULES: Our gifts to Presbyterians Sharing ... help connect congregations and individuals with mission partners in Canada and around the world through short term mission experiences. Cathy Finlay, a member of Leaside Presbyterian Church, participated in the Presbyterian Church in Canada's Fair Trade Study Tour to Nicaragua last year. The group consisted of nine Canadians from across the country who were eager to see the tangible benefits of fair trade and to experience first-hand the work of our Church. Cathy writes, "In addition to learning about fair trade, we saw our national church in action. While I have always financially supported Presbyterians Sharing and PWS&D, on this tour I saw first-hand how a donation affects real people."

PLEASE NOTE: Each week members from BPC's Boarding Homes Ministry visit with a group of men who live in a local boarding home. AND FROM JEFF FOXWORTHY, insights into living in Canada:

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May. You might live in Canada!

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there. You might live in Canada!

If you have worn shorts and a parka at the same time. You might live in Canada!

If you measure distance in hours. You might live in Canada.

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once. You might live in Canada!

Have a good week. MB
