FYI - The reports for the Annual Report are due - in order to be ready for the Beaches Annual General Meeting in February. For details speak to Elisabeth Grant.

We will be celebrating January Birthdays following worship. As it turns out, there are only two birthdays in January that we know about. Ciaran Shantz turned 21 this week and Erin Sclisizzi - it is unlikely that Ciaran will join us as he lives in residence, but Erin will certainly be there. So, join us for a celebratory piece of cake and we can all wish her a Happy Birthday.

We have collected Birth Months from almost all of you, so if you have been missed speak to me or Linda Seiler.

OF INTEREST: Our own Kenra Greer participated in a downhill ski race last weekend at Craigleith Ski Club. It was a slalom and the conditions were icy. Many racers did not finish. Kendra's team, from Blue Mountain, lost to a team from Milton Heights BUT Kendra won a Gold medal as the fastest girl between the two teams. Forty girls in total raced and overall out of the 40 Kendra had the 2nd fastest time.
Congratulations Kendra!

Keep your headlights clear with car wax! Just wipe car wax on your headlights - it contains special water repellents that will prevent that messy mix from accumlating on your lights and it lasts up to six weeks.

Squeak-proof your wipers with rubbing alcohol! Wipe the wipers with a cloth saturated with rubbing alcohol or ammonia. This one tip can make badly streaking and squeaking wipers change to near perfect silence and clarity.

Ice-proof your windows with vinegar! Frost on it's way? Just fill a spray bottle with three parts vinegar to one part water and spritz it on all your windows at night. In the morning they will be clear of icy mess. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which raises the melting point of water - preventing water from freezing.

Have a good week - MB
